Floyd Allen Biggs

Floyd Allen Biggs
October 6, 1943 ~ January 2, 2026

Allen Biggs, age 82, of Purcell, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026.

Floyd Allen Biggs was born on October 6, 1943, in Piedmont, Oklahoma, the second of four children born to George Floyd Biggs and Edna Virginia (Harrison) Biggs. He was raised in Piedmont and attended school there, graduating with the Piedmont Wildcats Class of 1961.

Allen proudly answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Marine Corps.

By chance, Allen met the love of his life at the softball field, and together they began a life filled with love and devotion. Allen and Shirley were married on August 29, 1975, in Piedmont. They made their home in Oklahoma City, where they raised their two daughters, Johnnice and Stephanie.

Allen spent his career working in sales, primarily in the grocery supply business. He loved sports of all kinds, especially cheering on the Oklahoma Sooners. In 2009, Allen and Shirley relocated to Purcell to be closer to their grandchildren, Boston and Taryn. From that point on, Allen’s greatest joy was following his grandchildren to their many activities and sporting events, until his health no longer allowed him to do so. Allen cherished his family deeply and lived each day for them. He will be dearly missed.

Allen was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Biggs, parents, Floyd and Edna Biggs, and his brother, Terry Joe Biggs.

He is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Knowles and husband Justin of Purcell, and Johnnice Steele of Purcell; his sisters, Myrtle Willis of Oklahoma City and Karen Caplinger of Piedmont; his pride and joy, grandchildren Boston Knowles and Taryn Knowles; and a host of other family members and friends.

Memorial Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Landmark Church in Purcell. www.wilsonlittle.com.
