James Lee Berry

July 4, 1973 ~ July 17, 2018

Memorial services for James Lee Berry, 45, of Thackerville were held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 23 in the chapel of Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home with Reverend David Shahan officiating.

Born July 4, 1973 in Casa Grande, Arizona, the son of Jeral C. Berry and Rose Ann Williams Berry, he died Tuesday, July 17, 2018 in Mercy Hospital, Ardmore.

A resident of Love County for the past 16 years, James was employed as a ranch hand. He loved to work whether it was driving heavy equipment, working on equipment or doing woodworking. He also enjoyed gambling at casinos; however, his favorite pastime was visiting and playing games with family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jesse and Veda Williams and Edgar and Martha Berry, and an uncle, Larry Berry.

Survivors include his mother, Rose Ann Spradling of Thackerville; father, Jeral Berry of Thackerville; two sons, Randy Berry of Casa Grande and Troy Berry of Marietta; daughter, Hannah Berry of Marietta; three brothers, Jeral Berry of the Bomar community, Jerry Berry of Casa Grande, and Jesse Berry of Thackerville; sister, Jo Ann Spradling of Thackerville; and several aunts and uncles.

Serving as honorary pallbearers were Jesse Berry, Jeral Berry, Kevin Love, Levi Berry, Jim Lemons, Rand Berry, J.D. Berry and Doug Rudy.
