Deborah Lynn Bennett, age 74, of Hugo, Oklahoma, passed away on March 28, 2026. She was born on September 8, 1951, in McAlester, Oklahoma, and lived a life marked by faith, kindness, and devotion to the people she loved.
Deborah was the daughter of Charles Webb and Willa Mae (Cantrell) Webb. She was a beloved wife to Pete Bennett and a devoted mother to her son, Shawn, and her daughter, Jeri Lynn. Deborah especially loved her grandchildren, and they brought great joy to her life. She was a cherished grandmother to Jace, Cheynoa, Anjo, and Shelby, and a proud great-grandmother to Carson and Bo. She was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Bennett, and one infant grandson, Hugh Dawson Bennett. Her family was the center of her heart, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
Deborah worked as an Office Manager in HR Personnel, where she was known for her dependable nature, warm personality, and willingness to help others. She carried herself with grace and professionalism, and those who worked with her appreciated her friendly spirit and steady presence. She had a gift for making others feel welcome, and she formed lasting connections wherever she went.
A faithful Christian, Deborah loved the Lord deeply and lived her life guided by her beliefs. Her faith was not simply something she spoke about, but something she demonstrated through the way she treated others. She was faith-filled, loving, and friendly, and she shared those qualities generously with everyone she met. She loved meeting new people and had a genuine interest in others, always ready with a kind word or a warm smile.
She enjoyed riding horses and running barrels, and those interests reflected her spirited and active nature. She served as Secretary for the HS Rodeo Association in Arizona, timed rodeos, and served as secretary of IPRA West Coast. She found happiness in the simple blessings of life and in the beauty of time spent with family, friends, and the Lord. Her passion for her faith was evident to all who knew her, and she leaves behind a legacy of devotion and love.
Those who knew Deborah will remember her as a woman of strong faith, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and a friend to many. Her life was a testimony to the goodness of God and the strength that comes from walking in His grace. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. May she rest in the peace of her Savior, and may her family find comfort in the promise of eternal life.
