Donna J. (Meier) Bell
October 27, 1936 ~ January 19, 2024

Graveside service for Donna Bell will be Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 1:00 pm in the Heart Cemetery, Booker, Texas with Kevin Hisey and Barbara Monroe officiating. Visitation with family will be Tuesday, January 23, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory, Enid.

Donna was born October 27, 1936 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Gottfried and Mary Edna (Schoenhals) Meier and died January 19, 2024 in Enid.

She grew up northwest of Shattuck before moving to Booker, Texas with her family. Donna graduated from Booker High School in 1954. She received her Bachelor of Nursing Degree at Incarnate Word College in San Antonio, Texas in 1957. Donna worked in Texas, Oklahoma, California and Iowa. In 1971, she moved to Denver, Colorado and began her career at Porter Hospital. Donna decided to stop working in 2002. She was an active member of Riverside Baptist Church for many years. Donna moved to Enid, Oklahoma in 2016. She attended Open Door Church and enjoyed Bible Study. Donna enjoyed traveling and going on bus tours.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Vivian; brother, Bob Meier; sister, Virginia Dunn; nieces, Debbie Dunn and Jane Herrera; great nephews, Joshua Meier and Bryn Dunn; great niece, Sarah Meier; beloved furbaby, Sheba.

She is survived by her brother and his wife, Larry and Jessie Meier; sister-in-law, Carolyn Meier; nephews and nieces, Mark (Peggy) Dunn, Cheri Rosales, John (Sheila) Meier, Mary Ester Sallee, Tom Dunn, Maxwell Meier, Lacreata (Steve) Mease, Larry Don (Lori) Meier, Carol Meier Rutz, Richard Meier; many great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to Hospice Circle of Love or EnidSPCA. Condolences may be made online at
