Gregory Allen Belcher left this earth on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the age of 58 years, a long-term resident of Durant. He currently resided in Beautiful Downtown Lake Texoma. He was born to Howard and Bessie Belcher in Guthrie, OK.
He is survived by his spouse, Gena Belcher; children, Lindsey Griffith, and husband, Russ; Ethan Sheffield and wife, Geraldine. He was a very proud PaPa to Bennett Edward Griffith, Bryson Howard Griffith and Evelyn Blake Sheffield, his grandchildren. He is also survived by mother, Bessie Belcher, of Durant, and siblings, Darla B. Peek, Larry Belcher, wife, Marilyn, and Vicki Belcher; proceeded in death by father, Howard Belcher.
He was a gifted natural-born salesman with the best personality who made everyone feel special. He had a nickname for everyone and sang Happy Birthday Elvis style to many. He was a salesman for Indian Nation Wholesale Company for approximately 13 years.
Greg graduated from Durant High School in 1977 and has a BA in Business from Southeastern Oklahoma State University where he was a member of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity.
Officiating at the memorial service is Pastor Bill Ledbetter of Fairview Baptist Church.
Pallbearers are Gary Arnett, Larry Belcher, Corey Cooper, Russ Griffith, Marvin Livingston, Ethan Sheffield and Ronald Starnes. His many friends will serve as honorary pallbearers.
He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him and greatly missed by his four-legged rescue dogs, Zeus and Maximus.
Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, Colton’s Run in Durant, or a charity of your choice.
Visitation with the family is Sunday, March 18, 2018, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home at 121 N. 5th St., Durant, OK 74701.
Celebration of Greg’s life will be Monday, March 19, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Fairview Baptist Church at 1200 West University Blvd., Durant, OK 74701.
