Mary Ann Beeby, 76, A devoted mother, cherished grandmother, loving wife, and beloved retired schoolteacher, passed away peacefully in her home on March 15, 2026, surrounded by family.
Mary Ann was born on September 8, 1949 in Enid, Oklahoma, to Lloyd Lee and Mary Jane Cromer. She married the love of her life, Dwayne Ray Beeby on September 16, 1967 and they lived most of their married life in Marshall, Oklahoma. Mary Ann married young and built a life defined by unwavering love, resilience, and commitment to others. She pursued and completed her college education, exemplifying determination and grace under pressure while raising three sons, Kirt, Kelly, and Keith.
Mary Ann dedicated her professional life to education, serving as a schoolteacher for 33 years before retiring. She was not only an exceptional educator to hundreds of young students but also a mentor and role model to fellow teachers, inspiring generations with her wisdom, compassion, and passion for learning. Her classroom was a place where children felt seen, encouraged, and empowered, and her influence extended far beyond school walls—many colleagues and former students still speak of her guidance with deep admiration.
Beyond the blackboard, Mary Ann found quiet joy in painting. With steady hands and a gentle eye, she turned blank canvases into landscapes, portraits, and little bursts of color—each one a private celebration of beauty she saw in her everyday life. Those same hands that graded papers, held her boys, and guided young minds now brushed stories no words could hold.
She also had a soft spot for simple pleasures that always brought a twinkle to her eye. She devoured romance novels by the stack, getting lost in tales of love and happy endings with a bowl of popcorn—her favorite quirky snack, often poured straight over with milk for that perfect crunchy, creamy bite. Family members still chuckle remembering her unapologetic enthusiasm for both.
She loved music—blasting the 80’s on her tape player and spinning 45’s on the record player.
Mary Ann enjoyed many things in life. She was not only a talented painter but also a talented baker. Mary Ann loved roosters and chickens and decorated her house with décor of both. She enjoyed playing cards, going on adventures with the grandchildren on the farm and trips to Branson Missouri enjoying Silver Dollar City and Treasure Lake Resort.
Above all, Mary Ann was a wonderful wife to her husband Dwayne Ray Beeby, a nurturing mother to her sons Kirt, Kelly, and Keith, and a doting grandmother to her grandchildren. She found her greatest joy in family, creating a home filled with love, support, and quiet strength. As one family member beautifully expressed, her sons were blessed to call her mom, and she was equally blessed to call each of them son.
Mary Ann touched countless lives through her kindness and dedication. She will endure in the hearts of all who knew her.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Dwayne Ray Beeby; her 3 children, Kirt and wife Jennifer Beeby, Kelly and wife Laura Beeby, Keith Beeby; her 5 grandchildren, Braden and wife Maegan Beeby, Heath and wife Morgan Beeby, Emily Beeby, Kyleigh Beeby, and MaryGlynn Beeby; her brother, Joe Cromer and many others who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Lee Cromer and mother, Mary Jane Cromer, her brother, Mike Cromer, and sister, Karen Cromer.
A celebration of life will be held at Christian Church in Marshall, Oklahoma on March 22, 2026 at 2:00 pm.
Mary Ann now rests in peace, free from suffering, in the heavenly place she so faithfully believed in. May her memory be a blessing and comfort to all who loved her.
