Darrell Beckner

Jan. 27, 1932 ~ May 16, 2006

The funeral for Darrell Beckner, 74, will be 2 p.m. Saturday at United Church of Christ, Drummond. The Rev. Danny Marney will officiate. His remains will be cremated following the service at his request. Arrangements are by Henninger-Allen Funeral Home.

He was born Jan. 27, 1932, near Drummond to Lawrence C. and Melva Downs Beckner and died Tuesday, May 16, 2006.

He was a graduate of Drummond High School.

He married Barbara Helterbrand Aug. 1, 1951. They lived on a farm and operated a custom harvesting business south of Drummond.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara, of the home; one son, Rox Beckner of Hennessey; two sisters, Leta Rae Smith of Enid and Sharon Hennigh of Hennessey; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice Circle of Love or Drummond Fire Department.
