Helen Fae (Jespersen) Becker

Helen Fae (Jespersen) Becker
January 27, 1927 ~ February 7, 2019

Helen Fae Becker of Roscommon, Michigan, passed away February 7, 2019, at the age of 92. Helen was born in Teagarden, Oklahoma, January 27, 1927, the daughter of Perry and Maudie Jespersen.

On October 11, 1952, she married Henry Robert Becker in Fort Hood, Texas. Their journey together would take them across the United States from Virginia to California and the far east, with stops in Japan, the Philippines and eventually Bangkok, Thailand, where she raised her children, Mark, Dawn Li, and Kim Starr with strength, love, laughter and compassion.

She was a wife, mother and secretary for the US Army and Ester McCredie Realty in her later years. In 1972, they returned to Roscommon, Michigan, to reside. She was an avid Oklahoma Sooner football fan and horse lover, practiced yoga for over 50 years and enjoyed country music concerts. Her spirit, joy and passion for living will be deeply missed, but her wit and wisdom she passed to her children will carry on.

Helen is survived by her son, Mark Dustin (Barbara) Becker of Jackson; daughter, Dawn Li (Geoff) Hearin of Flushing; grandchildren, Kimberly Starr (Daniel) Weir of Chelsea, Drew and Alyssa Hearin, both of Flushing. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry Becker; son, Kim Starr Becker; siblings, Vale Jespersen and Betty Lou McCool.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to the Mills Funeral Home, Shelly-Odell Chapel in Eaton Rapids. Please visit our website to place online condolences or to sign the guest register, http://www.millsfuneral.com.
