Brian Beck was born January 8, 1974 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Carolyn "Kay" Louise and David Wayne Beck. He passed away January 23, 2014 at the age of 40 years and 15 days.

Brian grew up and attended schools at Canute graduating in 1992. During his high school years he attended the Western Technology Center and studied meat processing and marketing classes. After graduation, he worked at Puckett's Foods where he worked in Sayre, Elk City, Clinton and Cordell and also joined the Canute Volunteer Fire Department. In 1998 Brian attended Council on Law Enforcement Education Training (CLEET) where he obtained awards for shooting and driving. After completion of his CLEET training he went to work for the Canute Police Department and also served as a reserve for the Washita County Sheriff's Department. He was married to Shannon (Chronister) Beck at Canute, Oklahoma on August 19, 2000. After their marriage they continued to make their home in Canute where Brian and Shannon raised their family. In 2001 Brian obtained a position with the Washita County Sheriff's Department as a deputy and was named the undersheriff in 2013. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, gun collecting and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Besides his wife, Brian's passion in life was his daughters and helping them with their show pigs.

He was preceded in death by his uncle, Terry Vinson and grandfather, Eddie Vinson.

He is survived by his wife, Shannon; 2 daughters, Melinda Beck, Kamie Beck, all of the home; mother, Kay Beck, Canute, OK; father, David Beck and wife, Debbie, Elk City, OK; 2 brothers, Brad Beck and wife, Mandy, Canute, OK and Brent Beck, Canute, OK; aunt and uncle, Brenda and Perry Bronn, Elk City, OK; nieces and nephews, Ashlen, Jessika, Isaiah, Ethan, Madison, Hannah and Evie; grandparents, JD and Audean Beck and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made in Brian's name at Canute First State Bank, P.O. Box 430, Canute, OK 73626
