The funeral for Peggy W. Beadles, 73, of Perry, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, Perry. Rick Rhodes and the Rev. Tim Boggess will officiate. Committal service will be 4 p.m. in Fredonia City Cemetery, Fredonia, Kan. Arrangements are by Brown-Dugger Funeral Home, Perry. Family visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. 

She was born Jan. 4, 1935, in Caney, Kan., to Richard Nelson and Ocie Pearl Woods Palmer and died Monday, March 3, 2008, at her home in Perry. She married Mac E. Beadles Aug. 19, 1953, in Fredonia. He died Sept. 1, 2002. She was a homemaker, worked as an administrative secretary and then business manager for St. Margaret's Mercy Hospital, Fredonia, before becoming office manager for Dr. Hugh G. Bayles in Fredonia.

She was a member and elder of First Presbyterian Church, Perry, a member of Presbyterian Women and past elder commissioner of Cimarron Presbytery. She also was a member of Rebekah Lodge in Severy, Kan., and Mistletoe Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star in Fall River, Kan., and was a member of Junior Advance Club of Fall River. She was a 4-H leader in Fall River and was active in Perry Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and BH Chapter of PEO in Perry. She was past member of Eureka Country Club, Eureka, Kan., and Perry Golf and Country Club, Perry. 

Surviving are two daughters, Sherri L. Huneycutt and Kristi K. Johnson, both of Perry, and two grandchildren. 

In addition to her husband, Mac, she was preceded in death by one sister and a brother. 

Memorials may be made through the funeral home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, OK 73077 to First Presbyterian Church youth group of Perry, United Methodist Church of Fall River, Kan., Perry Diamond Club or Judith Karman Hospice.
