Wapanucka-
Jeffrey Ray Baxter, age 69, a longtime Wapanucka, OK
resident. He was born on Thursday, March 14, 1957, to Marion Ray and Don
Ella (Harrison) Baxter, at Ft. Worth, TX. Jeffrey passed away on Wednesday,
April 8, 2026 at his home in Wapanucka, OK. He graduated from Wapanucka High
School. Jeffrey was a carpenter, a wood craftsman for most of his life and
worked for Lattimore Rock Quarry for many years. He married Angela (Brumley)
on Saturday, July 15th, 1978 at Wapanucka First Baptist Church in Wapanucka,
OK. They celebrated over 47 years of marriage before his passing. Jeffrey
attended many churches over his lifetime. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, with
his best buddy Doyle Nichols. Jeffrey loved shopping, cooking, especially
desserts and dressing, and loved pestering his grandchildren and everyone he
met.
Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Angela Baxter of the home in Wapanucka, OK; sons, Jeremy Baxter and wife Kimberly of Paris, TX, Derick Baxter and wife Tamera of Tushka, OK; grandchildren, Hayden, Nicole, Payton, Jaylee, Hunter, Tavin, Madison, Aspen, Remyngton, Ivy; sister, Sherry Michalk of Wilson, OK; close family friend, Edna (Nanny) Eldridge; sister in law, Rhonda Nichols and husband Doyle; nephews, Joseph Nichols, Clint and wife Carlene Michalk, Marc and wife Janessa Michalk, Josh, Adam and wife Kalee, Nakoda, Bobby; nieces, Shawna, Samantha, Natasha and husband Collin; along with many adopted grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Ray and Don Ella (Harrison) Baxter; brother, Jerry Don Baxter; along with many other family members
