Burl Bartlett
November 5, 1927 ~ November 22, 2012

Burl Bartlett, longtime educator and coach, passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2012. He was born in Ingalls, Oklahoma on November 5, 1927.

After coaching, teaching, and serving as an education administrator in Oklahoma and Texas, he retired and later moved to Enid where he has lived since 2000.

Burl is survived by Maggie, his wife of 65 years. He is also survived by daughters Janie Rivers and her husband Rich of Enid; Lorrie Harper and her husband Lloyd of Haslet, Texas; and Ann Tubbs and her husband Larry of Denton, Texas. He was the grandfather of Paul Tubbs and his wife Lindsey of Lubbock, Texas; Vince Farris and his wife Melissa of Liberty, Texas; Briley Rivers and his wife Lisa of Ottawa, Kansas; Emily Cooper and her husband Justin of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and the great-grandfather of seven.

A visitation will be held at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home on Monday, November 26 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate Burl�s life will be at Central Christian Church at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27.

Memorials, in lieu of flowers, can be made to Central Christian Church Youth Camp Fund, Emmaus Group Walks, or Our Daily Bread, all of Enid
