Shirley Ann Barnett

Shirley Ann Barnett
July 11, 1955 ~ February 6, 2026

Shirley Ann Barnett, age 70, of Coalgate, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026, at her residence.

Shirley was born on July 11, 1955, in Ada, Oklahoma, to Richard Lee Barnett and the late Dorothy Ann Barnett. She grew up in Coalgate, Oklahoma, and graduated from Coalgate High School. In her early years, she and her siblings were close, spending time together laughing and enjoying one another’s company; a time when life was simpler and life was good. Though life eventually led them down different paths, those years were marked by meaningful family bonds and shared memories that Shirley was thankful for.

In her younger years, Shirley enjoyed spending time with her extended family, especially Sunday dinners at Granny’s house. She loved shopping on the weekends and found joy in country music and dancing. In her later years, she faced challenges that weighed heavily on her life, but she continued to find comfort in reading and sewing, which served as quiet retreats.

Shirley is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Stacie Michelle Woody and Robert Woody of Konawa, Oklahoma, and Heather Annette Wood and Eddie Wood of Blue Ridge, Texas; her daughter Ashley Williams and significant other Colton Miller of Edmond, Oklahoma; and her son Scott Enderson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren—Andi Wood and Avery Wood of Blue Ridge, Texas, and Lennon and Oakland of Edmond, Oklahoma; her father, Richard Lee Barnett; her siblings, Lisa Nessel of Ada, Oklahoma, and Ricky Barnett of Oklahoma City. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Ann Barnett; her brother, Ronald Dale Barnett; her grandmother, Grace Barnett; and her grandparents, Eunice and Brenes Luna.

Private family services will be announced at a later date.
