Pryor-
Patricia Elaine Barker was born on December 14, 1946, in
Henryetta, Oklahoma, and passed away on October 12, 2025, in Pryor,
Oklahoma.
Patricia met Mike Barker in Henryetta, and the two were married on August 28, 1965. They eventually settled in Pryor, Oklahoma, where they built a family and a business together. She also worked at Homeland for over 20 years.
She enjoyed fishing and bowling with her family, tending to her flower beds, and caring for her bird feeders, especially watching the hummingbirds and cardinals. Patricia had an amazing talent for sewing and loved making clothes for her children when they were young. Her home was often filled with the wonderful smells of her home-cooked meals and baked goods.
Her favorite holiday was Christmas, and she spent countless hours decorating and making gifts for her children and grandchildren while listening to Christmas carols.
Patricia is survived by her son, Scott Barker and his wife April of Salina, Oklahoma; her daughter, Mattie Smith of Pryor, Oklahoma; her brothers, Fred Hankins and his wife Gloria of Lilburn, Georgia, and Ronnie Hankins and his wife Jeanie of Broken Arrow; and her sister, Trecia Wilson and her husband Drew of Collinsville, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Dillon Barker, Braylon Smith, Meyah Smith, Bryton Smith, and Ryan Owens; and great-grandchildren, Hemi and Wyatt Barker and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Barker.
A memorial service to honor Patricia’s life will be held at Shipman’s Funeral & Cremation Service in Pryor, Oklahoma, on October 24, 2025, at 10 a.m. Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating the beautiful life of Patricia Elaine Barker and share memories that reflect her one-of-a-kind spirit.
