In Loving Memory of Betty Ann Barb July 14, 1938 – April 12, 2026
It is with deep love and gratitude that the family of Betty Ann Barb, 87, of Chouteau, Oklahoma, announces her peaceful passing on April 12, 2026. Betty left this world surrounded by her family, who held her hand, comforted her, and softly sang her favorite hymns as she took her final breaths.
Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Betty built a life rooted in kindness, hard work, and devotion to those she loved. She spent more than 30 years in Oklahoma, where she owned and operated the consignment shops Just for Kids in Pryor and Second to None in Claremore. She also volunteered at Pryor Hospital, where her warm smile and generous spirit touched countless lives.
Betty was devoted to her husband, Jerry W. Barb, with whom she shared 54 wonderful years of marriage. Their life together was filled with partnership, love, laughter, and cherished memories — especially their many fishing trips.
She loved her children deeply and was proud of each of them. Her children and grandchildren brought her immense joy, and she treasured the moments, stories, and memories they created together.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her children Lisa Ann Clark, Katherine H. Weaver, and David Michael Clark; Brother, William H. Ferguson, and Sister, Lois Ruth Taylor; In laws Louise and Polk Barb; and Son-in-law, Tom McBride.
She is survived by her Husband, Jerry; her Daughter, Janette “Jan” McBride (Tom); Granddaughter, Angela Archer; Grandchildren: Andy Morrison, Nick Weaver (Mattie), Shaina Riker (Matt), and Lucas Weaver; Nieces: Linda Brydges (John), Julie Artunoff (Chris), Susan Edwards (Eric), Bonnie Ferguson, and Beth Ferguson (Charles): Brothers-in-law, Ray Barb (Barb), and Jody Barb (Chuck); Sisters-in-law: Sandy Koelker, Renae Tucker (Alvin), and Monica Britton; as well as several Great Grandchildren.
The family will honor Betty’s life privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her name.
Betty’s legacy of love, strength, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
