Pryor-
Connie Kay Ballard, a beloved homemaker and cherished
matriarch, departed this world on September 4, 2025, in Pryor, Oklahoma, at
the age of 76. Born on April 28, 1949, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Connie's life was
a beautiful tapestry woven with love, creativity, and devotion to her
family.
A good person at heart, Connie had an ability to make those around her feel cherished and special. Her greatest joy came from her children and grandchildren, whom she loved deeply and often spoiled with affection. Her creativity flourished in many forms, whether it was through her involvement in the Red Hat Society or the Ceramic Associations she was part of.
Connie had a particular fondness for traveling to Branson, where she enjoyed live music and shows, bringing her favorite memories home with her. A lover of movies, she found delight in classic monster movies and the legendary King Kong.
Connie is survived by her loving husband, Marshall Ballard, of the home. She leaves behind her son, Adam Ballard and Kristen Turpin, who reside in Springfield, Missouri. Her daughter, Kate and husband Cory, both of Pryor, Oklahoma and stepson Jim Ballard and wife Lisa from Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Connie's legacy lives on through her nine grandchildren, each of whom Connie cherished.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Kathryn Conley, and her brothers, Michael and Dr. Patrick Conley. The family also remembers with love and sorrow her grandson, Isaiah Mendez.
A memorial service to celebrate Connie's vibrant life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Service in Pryor. Friends and family are invited to gather as they honor her memory, sharing stories and laughter, much like she would have wanted.
Connie Kay Ballard's life was a remarkable blend of love, creativity, and steadfast devotion to her family. Although she has left this earthly realm, her memory and the indelible mark she made on the hearts of her loved ones will forever remain, a testament to the good person she was.
