Gary Dillon Baker, 71, passed peacefully at home from a long illness on June 4, 2025. Gary was born on November 17, 1953, in Stillwater, Oklahoma to JW and Almeda (Pritchard) Baker. He grew up in Carney, Oklahoma where he liked to fish with his Uncle Basil. He passed on his love of fishing to his children Teri and Jay and nephews James and Charles.
As a young man, Gary worked for 5 years at the Oak Tree Golf Course. He then went on to work for Oklahoma Natural Gas for 33 years until he retired. Gary married the love of his life, Sandy Keith, on November 26, 1976. From this union they had two children, Teri (Baker) Clark and Jay Baker. After retirement he spent a lot of time at the lake fishing with his family.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents JW Baker and Almeda Lee, and his sisters Charlotte Butler and Brenda Baker. Survivors include his wife Sandy, of the home; children Teri and Jay; grandchildren Dylan (Autumn) Clark and Trinity Clark; great-grandson Hunter; nephews James Smith, Charles Smith, Michael Thompson; niece Stephanie Pittser, and many more family and friends.
