In Memory of Robert Gary Baiz - Pryor Oklahoma
Robert Gary Baiz, 87, born on December 12, 1937, in Oakland, California, passed away on Monday, February 17th, 2025, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He served honorably in the United States Army Reserve for 8 years, and then started his career at the University of California from 1956-2000 as an Animal Technician, following his passion for the love of animals, researching and studying animal behavior. If you wanted to know anything about an animal, he was the person to ask.
He retired in 2000 and started working as a Maintenance Technician for a large senior housing community in Sonoma Co, California, where he met and married his wife Daloe Barmore in 2005 and resided at Oakmont Senior Community where they lived out their lives until her death May 30, 2018. On August 20, 2018, he relocated to Pryor, Oklahoma to live with family and spend the rest of his life there.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents Sergio Baiz and wife Evelyn, his brother Richard Baiz, son Robert Glen Baiz and his wife Daloe Baiz. He is survived by daughter Petra Pembroke of Homer, Alaska, grandaughter MacKenzi Pembroke of Forestville, CA, Stepdaughters Beverley Ravetto and husband Todd of El Dorado, CA, and Denise Covert and husband Steve of Pryor, OK and he met some wonderful friends that we considered family, Heather Hendricks and husband Michael
. No services will be held. In lieu of flowers, any donations to be sent to the Wild Heart Ranch Wildlife Rehabilitation, Claremore, OK
