James Walter Atkinson

James Walter Atkinson
July 1, 1956 ~ Aug. 31, 2012

James Walter Atkinson, 57, of Howe died Aug. 31, 2012, in Howe. He was born July 1, 1956, at Brea, Calif., to Johnie and Opal (Shepherd) Atkinson. He was a rig runner in the oilfield.

James was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Atkinson of Howe; two sons, Jason Atkinson of Howe and Todd Atkinson of College Station, Texas; five grandchildren, Crystal Atkinson, James Atkinson, Shania Atkinson, Leif Atkinson, Seanna Atkinson; and many friends, family and loved ones.

A memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Trinity Baptist Church in Heavener with Bro. Howard Huddle officiating.

Cremation services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau. You may leave an on-line greeting to the family at www.gracemanorfh.com.
