Donald H Ashton
September 2, 1933 ~ June 10, 2020

Mr. Donald H. Ashton, 86, of Bartlesville, died early Wednesday, June 10, 2020 in Bartlesville.

Private family services will be held under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations in Mr. Ashton’s memory be made the the American Red Cross.

Mr. Ashton was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on September 2, 1933 the son of Harry M. and Edith M. (Gray) Ashton. He attended schools in Tulsa and graduated from Central High School in 1951. He then attended Oklahoma A & M at Stillwater where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in 1955. He entered the United States Army on September 12, 1956 and served in the Signal Corps until receiving his Honorable Discharge on September 5, 1958. Mr. Ashton made his home in the Tulsa area and was active in pharmaceutical sales with GlaxcoSmithKline Pharmaceutical Company until his retirement. He has been married to Edith “Lynn” Howard for the past 33 years and they moved to Bartlesville to make their home one year ago.

Survivors include his wife, Lynn of the home, three daughters, Dana Merveldt and husband Steve of Monument, Colorado, Donna Baughn and husband Stan of Bartlesville and Lisa Barnes and husband David of Poteau, Okla., seven grandchildren, Matt Merveldt, Amy Merveldt, Taylor Baughn, Jared Baughn, Kendall Toole, Justin Barnes and Jesse Barnes and four great grandchildren.

Mr. Ashton was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
