Donald Edward Ashlock
March 15, 1944 ~ April 18, 2019

Donald Ashlock, 75 year old, Woodward resident passed away April 18, 2019 in Shattuck, Oklahoma. Memorial service will be held April 27, 2019 at the New Covenant Church at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Ed Dowty officiating.

Donald Edward (Don) Ashlock was born March 15, 1944 in May, Oklahoma to Andy Layffett Ashlock and Leona Irene (Cockrell) Ashlock.. Don spent most of his time growing up in Laverne, and attended school in Gate. At 19 Don moved to the Washington and Oregon area and resided there for many years. Don was united in marriage to Donna in 1968. They were blessed with three children; Tammy, Danny, and Julie.

Don had numerous occupations over the years. He was a contractor for many of those years. He also detailed and restored old cars. He was a truck driver and owned his own trucks. He traveled from California to Canada delivering his cargo.

He is survived by his sisters, Sharon Culp of Waynoka, Louise Steinley of Woodward, Bonnie Wristen and husband Dick of Omak, Washington; brothers, Marvin Ashlock and wife Sue of Lexington, Oklahoma, Ray Brewer of Shattuck; daughter, Julie Ashlock of Washington; son, Danny Ashlock of Washington; grandchildren, Kayla, Nikki, Donnie, Austin, Cameron, Gavin, and Cody; and two great grandchildren, Lila and Stella. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tammy; grandson, Dustin; Wiley Brewer; brother-in-law, Bob Steinley.

Don loved to dance. He enjoyed riding and taking care of horses, riding his motorcycle, and playing with his beloved dog. Don moved back to Oklahoma seven years ago. He lived with his sister Louise, and continued to work in construction until his health began to fail. He had very special nephews; Gaven, Bobbie, Lee, and Travis. His niece, Susan, visited him often while he was in Washington. Don had a special friend Janet Crigler who the family would like to send sincere thanks to. All friends and family are welcome at the services!
