Edward Alton Ashby of Clarksville, Texas passed away Thursday, December 2, 2010 in Clarksville, Texas at the age of 77 years, 1 month, and 8 days. He was born Thursday, October 26, 1933 in Maud, Oklahoma to Elmer and Beatrice (Northam) Ashby.

Edward married Maudine Findley on February 4, 1971 in Durant, Oklahoma. He worked for the Department of Transportation for over 18 years.

Edward served in the United States Navy.

Services for Mr. Ashby will be a private memorial service held at a later date.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Beatrice Ashby; wife, Maudine Rosalee Ashby.

Edward is survived by his children, Robin Monique Mewszel and husband Michael of Durant, Oklahoma, April Cormack and husband Russ of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Eddie Deion Ashby and wife Misty of Denison, Texas; grandchildren, Robyn Michelle Gumaer and husband Brandon of Denison, Texas, Michael Robbie Mewszel of Durant, Oklahoma, Christian Jay Thomas of Denison, Texas; and brother, Virgil Ashby
