Martha L. (Teegardin) Artman
February 13, 1923 ~ March 21, 2014 (age 91)

Martha L. Artman, age 91, passed away Friday, March 21, 2014 in Norman Oklahoma.   Martha was born February 13, 1923 to Lula (Meder) and Roy Teegardin.  

Martha married Jim Paine Artman and they raised two sons and one daughter.

Martha attended the University of Washington and the University of Oklahoma obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in fine arts.   She was a member of McFarlin Memorial United Methodist Church.  Martha loved playing golf and was an artist and sculptor.

Martha is preceded in death by parents; son Joe David Artman and sister Dona Jean Shrier.  She is survived by her husband Jim Artman; son Jim R. Artman and wife Gayla; daughter Maia Everhart and husband Dan; sisters: Sallie Artman, Eva Mae Brett and Rusty; grandchildren:  Peter Palermo and wife Celeste; Lori Blackwell and husband Steve; Taylor Artman; great grandchildren: Kyle, Peyton, Morgan, Bella, Nicolas and numerous nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 24, 2014 at Havenbrook Funeral Home, 3401 Havenbrook St., Norman, Oklahoma. Family has requested that dress be business casual.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer Association at www.alz.org Oklahoma Chapter or to the charity of your choice in Martha’s name.  Arrangements for Martha and her family were placed in the care of the Vice family at Havenbrook Funeral Home, Norman, Ok.  On line condolences may be shared at www.havenbrookfuneralhome.com.
