John Thomas Artman
October 17, 1924 ~ October 16, 2020

John Thomas Artman, resident of Newkirk, passed away Friday October 16, 2020 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Blackwell, OK. He was 95.

Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home of Ponca City.

John was born on October 17, 1924 to Eltie B. Artman and Alpha May (Martin) Artman in Ponca City. He served his country during WWII in the United States Navy.

He is survived by two daughters, Dawn Hall of Bartlesville and Kathy Appling of Melbourne, FL, nieces, Marnie Nemechek, Connie O'Quain, Kelly Johnson Marcantel, and Susan Johnson Meyers, nephews, Chris Johnson, and Mike Artman, grandson Kenny Appling and wife Brittney of Melbourne FL, great grandchildren, Connor Appling, Caelyn Appling, Lane Appling, and Lincoln Appling of Melbourne, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, Joyce Knight, Lois A. Gause, Pauline Harman, and Ann Johnson, brother, Wayne Artman, and niece Etta Mae Richards.
