Jorge Olvera Arreola passed away on August 4, 2020, in Norman, Oklahoma, at the age of 57 years.

Jorge Olvera Arreola was born on March 10, 1963, in Queretaro, Mexico, the son of Francisco Alejandro Olvera Maya and Aurora Arreola Soto. He grew up in Queretaro, Mexico, attended public schools, until the age of fourteen when he moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and he began working for a packing plant. Jorge met Jannet Morales Hernandez, and they married in 1997. They made their home in Florida where he and his brother Jose owned and operated a harvesting company. In 2016, he moved with his family to Norman, Oklahoma, where he owned and operated Olvera Enterprise Trucking Company LLC. He enjoyed working and fixing up his semis and loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father, Francisco Alejandro Olvera Mayo; and one son, Jesus Olvera.

He is survived by his wife, Jannet Morales Hernandez of Norman; three sons, Jorge Olvera, Juan Olvera and Jose Olvera, all of Norman, Oklahoma; one daughter, Jimena Olvera of Norman; his mother, Aurora Arreola Soto of Queretaro, Mexico; six brothers, Jose Olvera of Lehigh Acres, Florida, David Olvera of Norman, Oklahoma, Concho Olvera of Murphysboro, Tennessee, Sergio Olvera of Florida, Ruben Olvera of Queretaro, Mexico, and Aymondo Olvera of Queretaro, Mexico; and seven sisters, Oliva Olvera of Queretaro, Mexico, Socorro Olvera of Mississippi, Sara Olvera of Norman, Oklahoma, Margarita Olvera of Queretaro, Mexico, Beatriz Olvera of Murphysboro, Tennessee, Lorena Olvera of Mexico, and Maria Olvera of Queretaro, Mexico.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2020, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Norman, Oklahoma. He will be interred at a later date in Huimlpan Cemetery in Queretaro, Mexico.
