Linda Faye (Addington) Arnold

Linda Faye (Addington) Arnold
January 18, 1946 ~ October 19, 2018

Linda Faye (Addington) Arnold, 72 years young of Purcell, Oklahoma had her last prayer answered at 5:00 AM the 19th day of October 2018 when she departed this world to be with her Savior.  Born on the 18th day of January 1946 to JM and Viola (Adkins) Addington in Konawa, Oklahoma she was the youngest of six children, and the only child born in a clinic with the assistances of medical doctor.

Linda married her childhood sweet heart, Oscar S. Arnold in 1963 in Boise City, OK after his discharge from the United States Marine Corps.  Linda and Oscar made their home in the Oklahoma Texas Panhandle for many years, but eventually moved to Spartanburg, SC.  Linda worked as a health care provider, caring and loving her patients.

After Oscar's death in 2003, Linda again relocated, this time to Purcell, Oklahoma to be near her oldest son Curtis Arnold and his wife Pam.  Linda loved family and playing card games.  Grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life; she loved nothing more than spending time with them.  She was a fun loving person, but was a very private parent, spouse, grandmother and friend.

Her request to friends and family is to be remembered as she was and not to morn her absence from this life in victory.  In keeping with her wishes there will be no memorial services, only memories and private reflections.

Linda was proceed in death by her parents, husband, and a son Kendal Palmer, one granddaughter, and her siblings.

She is survived by her sons Curtis & Pam Arnold of Wayne OK, Carlton Arnold of Sanford NC, one daughter Terresa Melton of Duncan SC, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren, and a special friend Linda Doughten of Purcell OK.

Mother, you will always hold a special place in our hearts.  Thank you for giving your children life, love, security, and all the life lessons that have, and continue to sustain each of us.

Private Memorial Services are scheduled for a later date!
