Anthony, Kansas – Ernest G. (Swede) Arnold, 67, died Saturday at Wichita as a result of an auto accident Thursday night.

Arnold was born February 24, 1907, at Sand Creek where he lived until October 26, 1938, when he married Beatrice Myers at Anthony. He had farmed in the Bluff City and Anthony community since that time.

He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Funeral services will be at 10 AM Tuesday in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Reverend C. F. Colbert officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Grove Cemetery under the direction of the Parsons Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Beatrice, of the home; two sons, John, of the home, and Bill, Wakita; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth Baker, Great Bend, Kansas, and Mrs. Gary Truble, Fairmont; three sisters, Mrs. Ida Rechert, Kingsburg, Colorado, Mrs. Ela Thomas, Wakita, and Mrs. Mabel Cox, Kearney, Arizona; and 10 grandchildren.
