Ray Arnett

September 18, 1932 ~ July 05, 2021

Ray Arnett, age 88 of Edmond, Oklahoma passed away on July 5, 2021 in Edmond. He was born on September 18, 1932 in Rusk, Texas to John H. and Lily L. (Stewart) Arnett.

Ray married Betty Davis in 1959 in Houston, Texas. He was a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army. Ray attended the University of Texas in Austin earning his degree in Business Administration. He was an office furniture representative and salesman early in his career and later opened an office supply store with his wife Betty. In the years before retiring he worked with Houston College heading their business incubator, served on numerous political committees and played an active role with the Ft. Bend Economic Development Council, Rotary and Breakfast Club. Until his death he stayed active as a stock trader on the NY Stock Exchange. Ray retired in 2000 and in 2005 moved to Edmond, Oklahoma.

Survivors include his three children, daughter Sandy Polson and husband Timothy of Montgomery, TX, daughter Sharon Turner and husband Reggie of Edmond, OK and son Mike Arnett of Houston, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty in January of 2003 and many beloved dogs and cats.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Texas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to a pet charity of your choice.
