Michael Douglas Armstrong
August 10, 1953 ~ January 7, 2019

Memorial services for Michael Douglas Armstrong, age 65, of Cromwell, Oklahoma will begin at 2:00pm Friday, January 11, 2019 in the Prague Church of Christ, Klabzuba Avenue and 12th Street with Jamie Beller officiating.

Mike was born August 10, 1953 in Sacramento, California to Leroy Douglas and Muriel Angele (Bailey) Armstrong, Jr. He passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 at the St. Anthony Hospital in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Mike was united in marriage to Ginny Gilstrap on October 10, 1980 in Augusta, Georgia. Mike enjoyed anything and everything outdoors and particularly loved to garden and grow beautiful flowers and plants. He enjoyed his grandchildren often being sarcastic with them to get a crooked smile from their faces. Mike loved History, watching the Science Channel and enjoyed spending time at garage sales and flea markets. He was also a pretty good cook but you'd never find him doing the dishes!

Mike spent a career in Landscaping, creating beautiful outdoor designs for many people over the years.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Douglas Armstrong, Jr.; one brother, Tommy and his nephew, Bradley Armstrong.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Ginny Armstrong of the home in Cromwell; one daughter, Windy Christian and her boyfriend, James Mitchell of Cromwell; one grandson, Cody Scott Christian and his wife, Leeah of Alabama; one granddaughter, Amber Lynn Christian of Cromwell; one great granddaughter, Paisley-Ann Grace Christian of Alabama; two sisters, Tammy Brown and Kellie Dukes; two brothers; and his in-laws, Peggy and Doug, Franklin and Linda, Joy and Kevin, Theresa and Kevin and Kathy and Jim of Prague.

Arrangements for Mike and his family were placed in the care of the Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague, Oklahoma.
