Keith Allen Armstrong

Keith Allen Armstrong
August 1, 1967 ~ July 2, 2023

It is with deep sorrow and much love, that we mourn the passing of Keith Allen Armstrong. He went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at the age of 55. He has been reunited in heaven with his son, Austin Armstrong, his dad, Earl David Armstrong, and grandparents, Joan and Murray O’Conner and Betty and Clint Armstrong.

Keith was born on August 1, 1967, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated from Collinsville High School in 1986. Keith worked at various companies including Duo-Fast, VVEC, and Tri-State Electric. Most recently, he was employed by American Aircraft Engines, test running engines. He was a lifelong member of the Collinsville Baptist Tabernacle. Over the years, he acquired a few nicknames. In high school, he was known as “Army,” in wrestling he was “Piece of Cake,” and recently he was named “CMOS,” for his ability to work on electronics. Once a Cardinal, Always a Cardinal was true for Keith. He loved supporting all Collinsville athletics, especially the wrestling and football teams. If you were at a home football game, you could find him on the fence just like his late father, David.

It didn’t take a lot to make him happy, being around family and friends or having a fishing pole in his hand was enough. His favorite places to spend time were Talala Creek in the spring, Sunset Lake in the summer, and the Kiamichi Mountains in the fall for “deer camp.” He loved fishing, and he rarely came home without an ice chest full of fish. So, the next time you’re on the water cast one out for Keith.

Keith held many titles in his life, but his greatest role was being a father and grandfather. His children and grandchildren were the light of his life. He always cheered on Talor and Austin in their life and endeavors and always had a toy or candy for Nataleigh and Charlotte. Anytime he had the chance to spend time with them, he was there.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter and son-in-law, Talor and Erik Hicks, grandchildren, Nataleigh Montgomery and Charlotte Hicks, his mom and stepfather, Martha and Gary Rosenthal, brother and sister-in-law, Kyle and Monica Armstrong, sister and brother-in-law, Kerri and Dan Russell, nieces and nephews, Nathan Russell, Ella Armstrong, and Ben Armstrong, as well as countless family and friends.

Visitation will be Noon to 8:00 pm, Thursday, July 6, 2023, at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home. The family will be present from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Friday, July 7, 2023, at the Baptist Tabernacle with Rev. Gary Boyd officiating.

Services are under the direction of Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home.
