Mea Grace (Bridge) Anderson

Mea Grace Anderson was born on February 3, 1957 in Providence, Rhode Island to Norman and Joan Bridge. 

She moved to Muskogee with her parents in 1961 where she attended school in Muskogee. She graduated from Muskogee High School in 1975 and furthered her education at Oklahoma State University from 1975 to 1978. 

Growing up, Mea loved to play softball and tennis with her dad. She was active in Harris Jobe PTO and Service League as she was raising her children. She loved traveling to watch Kristin and Jenna play softball and basketball and attending Nick's performances at Muskogee High School and University of Central Oklahoma. The last several years, Mea enjoyed working with wood, painting, and being outside doing yard work and gardening. 

Mea worked with Muskogee Public Schools since 1993 as a finance/attendance secretary and has been employed at Tony Goetz since 1998. She loved her job, the students, and cherished her Tony Goetz family. 

Mea was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Joan Bridge; and her father-in-law, Johnny Anderson. 

Mea is survived by her husband of 31 years, Brent Anderson; daughters, Kristin Miller of Fayetteville, AR, Jenna Smith and her husband Dalton Smith of Bartlesville, OK, Mandi Anderson, Amber Oldam of Porum, OK, and her son, Nick Anderson of Muskogee. 

She is also survived by her brother, Pete Bridge and his wife, Martha Bridge of Charlotte, NC; sister, Maryann Downs and her husband Mike of New Bern, NC; grandchildren, Sailor Bridge Smith, Violet Belle Smith of Bartlesville, OK, Dalton Moore of Porum, OK; mother-in-law, Anne Anderson of Muskogee; sisters and brothers-in-law, Craig and Gaylyn Endicott of Muskogee and Bobby and Janet Mahan of Wagoner, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 2-4PM, Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral Home. 

A celebration of Mea's life will be 10AM, Monday, November 13, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Muskogee with Pastor Donnie Echols officiating. Pallbearers will be "Mea's Children", Mandi Anderson, Kristin Miller, Amber Oldam, Jenna Smith, Nick Anderson, Cole Keeling, Dalton Smith, Will Hensley, and Fala Bullock. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Endicott and David Shouse. 

Services are under the direction of Cornerstone Funeral Home and Crematory, 1830 N. York Street, Muskogee, Oklahoma. Condolences may be sent to www.cornerstoneofmuskogee.com
