Lucille Mable (Bradley) Almack
January 19, 1927 ~ April 14, 2011

Lucille Mable Almack of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Thursday morning, April 14, 2011, in the Blackwell Regional Hospital at the age of 84 years.

Lucille Mable Almack was born on January 19, 1927, in Braman, Oklahoma, to Herman and Gladys (Bennett) Bradley. She grew up in Nardin attending Nardin Public Schools before attending Deer Creek High School graduating in 1945. She married Jimmy D. �Jake� Almack on January 18, 1948, in Blackwell and they settled in Blackwell where she worked at the Hazel Atlas Glass Plant. She later worked for many years for the C. R. Anthony Store and in her later years worked in home health care. Her husband preceded her in death on May 15, 1992, and she continued to make Blackwell her home. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the Veteran of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary in Blackwell. She enjoyed reading and traveling throughout the world.

She is survived by a daughter, Lisa Cross of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two sons, John Almack and wife Glenda of Perry, Oklahoma, and Jim Almack and wife Dona of Ames, Oklahoma; three sisters, Fayne Parks and husband Jim of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Carol Kellum and husband Jerry of Blackwell, and Elaine Thomas and husband Jim of Ponca City, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, Angie Lenon of Edmond, Oklahoma, Brad Gates of Grove, Oklahoma, Brent Gates of Edmond, Oklahoma, Bryan Hamilton of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tiffany McCuistion of Houston, Texas, Jessica and Benjamin Almack of Perry, Oklahoma, Reese Almack of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Mark Almack of Ames, Oklahoma, and Nick Almack of Enid, Oklahoma; and eight great grandchildren, Mandi and Jayme Lenon of Edmond, Oklahoma, Gage and Ezra Gates of Grove, Oklahoma, Elliott Almack of Weatherford, Oklahoma, and Ashley, Bradley and Chance Hamilton of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Tina Gates; and three sisters, Lorene Garrett, Lois Seacat and Thelma Johns.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 16th in the Roberts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Blackwell with the Rev. Ned Moerbe of the Trinity Lutheran Church officiating.

A memorial has been established in her honor with the Trinity Lutheran Church in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
