Pete Sam Allen

Woodward – The funeral for Pete Sam Allen, 54, a resident of Woodward who died Tuesday in Waynoka after an apparent heart attack, will be at 10 AM Friday in the Chapel of Good Samaritan Funeral Service at Woodward. The Rev. John Coil will officiate.

Graveside services will be observed at 2 PM Friday in Maple Grove Cemetery at Dodge City, Kansas.

Allen was born July 4, 1930, in Manhattan, Kansas, and reared in Dodge City. On April 24, 1955, he and Shirley Beye were married at Dodge City. They made their home there until moving to Woodward four years ago.

Allen was employed with Gearhard Industries Inc. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church at Woodward.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley; two daughters, Annie Lampe of Dodge City, Kansas and Tina Allen of Fort Worth, Texas; two sons, Craig of the home and Jay of Wichita, Kansas; two brothers, Jim and Virgil, both of Dodge City; one sister, Margarette Miller of Parrottsville, Tennessee; and two grandchildren.
