James Lloyd Allen
October 5, 1950 ~ August 20, 2020

James Lloyd Allen passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 69. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.

Lloyd was born October 5, 1950 in Gravette, Arkansas to Beryl and Lorine (Owens) Allen. He graduated from Harper High School in 1968. After graduation he joined the Army and faithfully served his country.

On July 14, 1972 he married the love of his life, Dawn Brown in Attica, Kansas. She will always be his little Princess. Together they experienced “true love”. They were blessed with 48 wonderful years of marriage. To this union two sons were born, Jason and Matthew.

Lloyd was a true outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed sports as well. His summers were usually filled with coaching summer league softball for the kids. He worked as a pumper for Mobil Oil for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Dawn of the home; two sons, Jason Allen and wife Jolynn of Pueblo, CO, and Matthew Allen and wife Kember of Stillwater, OK; his mother, Lorine Allen of Harper, KS; six siblings, Cleva Bickford(Chuck) of New Lisbon, WI, Marylon Bieber(Dean) of Hutchinson, KS, Lonnie Allen(Lula) of Wichita, KS, Deonna Spears of Harper, KS, Darrel Allen(Susie) of Harper, KS, and Frances Miller of Harper, KS; three grandchildren, Jonathan Lugert, Baden Allen, and Ryder Allen; several nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends. Lloyd will be deeply missed.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Graveside services will be 2PM Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Harper Cemetery in Harper, KS.
