Emerson H. Allen
May 30, 1924 ~ April 1, 2016

Emerson H. Allen, 38611569, PFC USA, son of Mrs. Ruth E. Allen, Byron, Oklahoma, was born May 30, 1924, at Byron and attended high school there. He was inducted into the service at Camp Chaffee, Arkansas March 14, 1945 and received his training at Camp Robinson, Arkansas. Private Allen served five months overseas in the Asiatic-Pacific theater. He sailed for overseas on V-J Day and did occupational work on Lehte Island. He was discharged October 31, 1945, but re-enlisted and was stationed at Jensen, Korea, attached to the 126th General Hospital.

Decorations: Asiatic-Pacific Theater Medal, ATO Service Metal, Good Conduct Medal.

Died April 1, 2016 and buried in Cowley County, Kansas.
