Dolly Allen

June 6, 1917 ~ April 12, 2004

Services: Friday, April 16, 10 a.m.

Funeral services will be held in the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home Chapel on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m., for longtime Taft resident, Dolly Allen, 86, Rev. Tom White, associate pastor of the Cuyama Assembly of God will officiate and burial will follow in the West Side District Cemetery.

Mrs. Allen was born in Eufaula, Oklahoma on June 6, 1917 and passed away in Bakersfield on April 12, 2004. She had lived in the area for over 67 years and was a 50-year plus member of New Hope Temple. Mrs. Allen had been employed as a nurse's aide for over 20 years; 14 of which were spent at the county hospital and six and one half years at West Side District Hospital.

Her survivors include her best friend and husband, George; her son and his wife, Harold and Phyllis Berthoff of Carmichael; her daughter and husband, Dot and Jack Griffin of Modesto; her grandchildren and their spouses, Rusty Berthoff of Sacramento, Randy and Nancy Berthoff of Sacramento, Heidi and Scott Sonders of El Dorado Hills, Angie Stephens of Modesto and Erin Krietoch of San Francisco; her sister, Jo Hail of Oceano; her five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday from 3-8:30 p.m. and again on Friday from 8:30 a.m. to service time at the Erickson & Brown Funeral Home.
