David John Allan passed away on October 11, 2019, at the age of 57, in Lawton, Oklahoma. Beloved son of Barbara Verschaeve. Loving father of Shea Allan and father of Stephanie Corbett. Adoring grandfather to Alexandra Allan, Elizabeth (Ellie) Allan and Aubrey Allan Gavin Hilow, Zack Hilow. Dear brother to Ian Allan, Elizabeth (Tim) Mulligan, Scott (Erin) Allan, and Hugh Allan. Stepbrother to Sharon (Dan) Teller and Michele (John) Young. Proud uncle to many nieces and nephews. Cherished nephew of several aunts and uncles. Forever friend of Leslie Vickery and countless others.

David was born on February 9, 1962 in Oxford, England, to parents William and Barbara. As a young child, his family emigrated to the United States and settled in southeastern Michigan. David grew up in Warren, Michigan and attended school in the East Detroit School District. He graduated high school in 1980 and soon after went into the United States Army. He served from 1982-88, including an overseas deployment to South Korea, and was a Sergeant at the time of his discharge. Upon returning, he made a life for himself in Lawton, and later Cache, Oklahoma. After leaving the Army, David trained in Texas at Texas Aero Tech to become a certified Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic (A&P). He made a living working on planes by doing inspections and repairs. David will be remembered by countless friends and family as a caring, kind-hearted soul who would do anything to help others. He was not a materialistic guy and did not need a lot of stuff to be happy. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

David was pre-deceased in death by his daughter, Jacqueline Allan; father, William Allan; stepmother, Lori Allan; step-father, Ralph Verschaeve; grandparents, Hugh McNab and Mary Allan, and Alfred and Mabel Willis and step-sister, Caron (Dennis) Strohbeck.
