Mary Joyce Alford

June 13, 1933 ~ October 6, 2004

Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 9, 2004, 10:00 a.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary. Pastor John officiating.

Mary Alford, age 71, was born in Council Hill, Oklahoma and moved to Bakersfield at the age of 7.

Mary was a people person and she loved people. Mary was employed by Carlson Development for 27 years and was Resident Manager of Jasmine Gardens Apts. for 22 years.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Bill; son, Wendell Alford and daughter-in-law, Brenda Alford; daughter, Devie Blackmon, and husband, Joe Blackmon; one grandson; sister, Edith Baker of Tulare; brother, Robert Waldron and wife, Joyce of Bullhead City, Arizona. Several nieces and nephews and cherished family friend, Alice Cleveland.

Mary had a great love for God, so I know she will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 8, from 4-8 p.m., at Mish Funeral Home.
