Faith (Marshall) Alexander
August 21, 1921 ~ February 13, 2013

Faith Alexander, affectionately known as "Granny" by many friends and family, was born on August 21, 1921 in rural Chautauqua county Kansas and went home to be with Jesus on February 13, 2013. She attended elementary school in rural Kansas. Moved and attended high school in Nowata OK, from 1935 to 1939, graduating valedictorian of her class.

During her high school days she was active in the Drum and Bugle Corp. as well as orchestra. Faith moved to Bartlesville and became a member of First Assembly Of God Church in 1954. She was a faithful and active member of her church. She loved the verse Prov. 22:6 (Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it) this was her guide in her many years of teaching children's Sunday School class. She had a burden for children and dedicated her life to them. She was a worker in American Indian Bible School in Phoenix Arizona, at Dry Gulch USA in Pryor, OK. Faith volunteered and went with the Assemblies of God missions group to Honduras. She contributed many hours of volunteer work at Agape Mission. Always willing to help and worked for God all her life. In her 50's she earned a black belt Tae Kwon Do.

During her working career Faith worked for Singer Sewing Machine Co., Union National Bank, Reda Pump, and Wal-Mart.

She is survived by a son Tony M. Alexander and wife Sherrie of Bartlesville, a son Philip Alexander and wife Debbie of Okmulgee, OK. a daughter Rita Cone of Dewey, OK.

Survivors also include 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Mother Ida Meehan Marshall and her Father Jacob C. Marshall.

Memorial services for Mrs. Alexander were held at 2 P.M. Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Darryl Wooton, Rev. Billy Brummett, and Rev. Robert Polvado officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established to Children's Ministries in Thailand, c/o First Assembly of God Church, 900 S.E. Dewey Ave., Bartlesville, Oklahoma 74003.
