William Russell "Bill" Albin
August 3, 1945 ~ March 17, 2023

William Russell Albin (Bill), 77, of Kingston, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, March 17, 2023, at the Veterans Center in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He was born on August 3, 1945, in Los Angeles, California to the late Bill Albin and Ruth Julie Lechler Albin. Bill was raised in Orange County, California where he graduated high school.

He later attended Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton, Oklahoma before being drafted in the Army where he spent 2 years in Vietnam. In 1967 while stationed on Ft. Sill Military Base he met Doris Kathleen Fuller in Chickasha, Oklahoma where she was attending college. They were married on March 1, 1968, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. After receiving an honorable discharge from the military Bill finished his schooling and received his Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Texas. During the next 30 years Bill would hold a number of high-level engineering positions spanning several industries from international distribution to manufacturing and systems modernization. He was a long-term member of the Rotary Club and a distinguished member of Freemasonry. Bill and Doris moved to Marshall County in 2008 where he designed, engineered, and built their home in the Oakview area of Lake Texoma. Bill was a member of the Texoma Southern Baptist Church, and he loved building and racing cars with his sons. He was also proud of his personal achievements in creating a successful small business in graphic design and sign making with the Edinburgh Sign Company.

Bill is survived by Wife Doris Kathleen Albin, Kingston, Oklahoma. Children: Brian Albin, Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; Steve Albin, Fayetteville, North Carolina; Benton Johnson, Waco, Texas. Grandchildren: Stephen William Albin, Alexa Albin, Sarah Wolf, Megan Fisher, Hannah Murrey. 2 Great Grandchildren. Brother: Frank Albin, Lenexa, Kansas; Sister: Ruth Ann Prince, Indianola, Oklahoma.
