Donald Leroy Alberty
July 4, 1932 ~ January 21, 2014

Donald Leroy Alberty, 81, of Ozark, Arkansas, died, January 21, 2014 in Ozark. Donald left peacefully surrounded by his loving family.

He was a retired owner and operator of a trucking business. He attended Ozark First United Methodist Church, he was a member of River Valley Tractor Club and Arkansas Cattleman’s Association and was on the board of Watalula Water Association. He volunteered at Foothills Little Theater and at various organizations in the Ozark Area and was an Air Force Veteran. He was born July 4, 1932 in Stilwell, Oklahoma to ElDee Alberty Raleigh.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Shaffer Funeral Home with Reverend Bob Eyres and wife Nancy and Reverend Paul Coy officiating with burial at Chalk Bluff Cemetery in Stilwell, under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife Deloris Stubblefield Alberty of Ozark; one son, Donald Allan Alberty and wife Mary Jane of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two daughters, Charise Alberty of Ozark and Crystal Brightwell and husband Kelly of Longview, Texas; eight grandchildren, Jackie Kirkendall and husband Dustin, Crystal Ludlow and husband Jeff, Brandon, Bailey Ann and Blake Brightwell and Katherine, Elizabeth and Rebecca Alberty; four great grandchildren, Ava, Charlotte and Will Kirkendall and Nora Ludlow; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Brandon, Blake and Kelly Brightwell, Ben David, Stanley, Bret, Kurt and Todd Stubblefield and Don Allan Alberty. Honorary will be Dustin Kirkendall, Jeff Ludlow, Joe and Landon McClellan, Sascha Hofmann and Mike Kueffner.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00- 8:00 PM, Friday, January 24, 2014 at Shaffer Funeral Home 2315 W. Commercial in Ozark.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Peach Tree Hospice.
