Loran L. "Toby" Ailey
September 20, 1930 ~ July 12, 2022

Loran L. "Toby" Ailey, 91, of Tonkawa, OK, left this life on July 12, 2022, in Tulsa, OK. Per his wishes, cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Tonkawa, 505 Thunderbird Rd, Tonkawa, OK 74653.

Toby was born on September 20, 1930, in Creek County, OK., to Loran W. and Ruth N. (Leonard) Ailey. He worked as a furnace hand for Blackwell Zink for 22 years. He also worked for Wetmore and enjoyed farming. He was known as the "Garden Man" of Tonkawa. Toby loved going to Branson and meeting Box Car Willie. Toby also loved to play the fiddle and harmonica and catfish on the river and work in the garden. He married Glenda Thomas in 1954.

Toby is survived by his children, Terry Ailey of Marland, OK, Barbara Thompson of Beaverton, OR, and Mary Ailey; grandchildren, Steven, Christy and Terry, Jr.; one great-grandchild; siblings, Floyd Ailey of Nardin, OK, Everett Ailey of Newkirk, OK, Earl Ailey of Cushing, OK, Wesley Ailey of Blackwell, OK, Michael Ailey of Ponca City, OK, Robert Ailey of Ponca City, OK and Sally Weingartner of Enid, OK and many nephews, nieces, family members and friends.

Toby was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda; infant son, Mark Ailey; his parents; and siblings, Minnie Ailey and Margie Lewis.
