December 03, 1928 ~ September 02, 2017

Charles Clayton, 88, of Enid, Oklahoma, most recently of Glendale, Ariz., passed away Sept. 2, 2017. Charles was born in Ft. Smith, Ark. Dec. 3, 1928, to Charles and Grace Marie Agent. 

Charlie spent 30 years in the United States Air Force, retiring in Phoenix, Ariz., at Luke AFB as Chief Master Sgt. Charlie distinguished himself by receiving the bronze star for service under fire while in Vietnam, adding to his many other awards. 

In 1953, he married his wife Jenny. While stationed in Japan, they had one daughter, Pat. Three years later while stationed in Enid, they had one son Clayton.

After retiring from the air force, Charlie worked for McCaw Communications for 20 years. 

Charlie loved hunting, fishing, flying and building model airplanes.

Charlie was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Jenny; daughter Pat (Gary) Beyschau; son Clayton; brother Dan Agent; sister, Sibyl Haynes; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. 

Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, in Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma, with full military honors. 

An open house is 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017, in Enid, Oklahoma, at the Agent home. To leave condolences, please visit www.SunlandMemorial.com. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charlie's name to Air Force Aid Society or Disabled American Veterans.
