Carter Lee Adams
July 21, 1942 ~ August 10, 2020 (age 78)

Carter Lee Adams was born July 21, 1942, in Duncan, Oklahoma to John and Lafaye Adams. He passed away at his home on August 10, 2020, at the age of 78.

A private family service will be arranged at a later date. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.

Carter was a 1960 Duncan High School graduate. He married the love of his life, Judy Ann Neice, on April 5, 1960, in Duncan. To this union, six children – Carol, Tomi, Russell, Ricky, Mandy, and Amie – were born.

Carter retired from Waste Connections as a district manager in 2012. He also preached at Immanuel Baptist Church in Duncan for several years. Carter loved spending time with his family and wife. When he was not working, he could almost always be found in the chicken yard messing with his Grey roosters. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid duck hunter.

Carter is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judy; children: Carol and husband Cliff Bailey of Burleson, Texas; Tomi and husband Elbert Vanness of Duncan; Russell and wife Jana Adams of Duncan; Ricky and wife Stacy Adams of Duncan; Mandy and Scott Beebe of Duncan; Amie Adams of Duncan; 19 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Carter was preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Adams.
