Billy Wilford Elwood Adams

June 11, 1940 ~ May 23, 2020

Billy was born in Cleveland, Oklahoma on June 11, 1940. The son of Wilford Elwood, Sr. and Della Louise (Beaty) Adams. Billy grew up in Cleveland and graduated high school with the Class of 1958. Following high school attended college at Oklahoma State University. Billy also attended seminary college and was a ordained minister. Moved to Long Beach, California then later to Tucson, Arizona. While in Arizona Billy worked as a driver in the copper mines for several years. In the early 1980’s Billy returned to Oklahoma. Billy started working as a Nuclear Lab Technician at OSU Medical Facility later retiring in the late 1990’s.

Billy enjoyed watching QVC and purchased numerous items. Billy liked being at home working and playing video games on his computer. Billy was a member of the East Tulsa Christian Church and was also a part of the Praise Team. He also played the piano and steel guitar as a pastime.

Survivors include his nephew Michael Coulter and his wife Rhonda of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, great nephew Matt Coulter and his wife Laura of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; niece Jenna Coulter of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and two sons William “Marcus” Harwell and Jamie “James” Hamontree. Preceded in death by his parents Wilford, Sr. and Della Adams, one sister Gayle Coulter.

Service will be Friday, May 29, 2020 at First Christian Church, Sand Springs, Oklahoma at 2:00pm under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
