Lula Jane (Tennison) Abston
January 30, 1936 - October 06, 2014

Lula Jane Abston, age 78, passed away October 6, 2014, at Edmond Home Health Care Center in Edmond, Oklahoma. She was born Janurary 30, 1936 in Benjamin, Texas to William and Jesse (Sanders) Tennison.

Lula married Clyde Abston on March 4, 1956 in Knox City, Texas. She attended the Assembly of God Church, and had previously lived in Guthrie before moving to Edmond.

Survivors include her son James Abston of Muskogee, daughters Ladell Holt of Oklahoma City, Deborah Branch and husband Bennie of Guthrie, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde in 1976 and 10 brothers and sisters.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, October 10, 2014 at West Park Cemetery in Hereford, Texas. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Thursday at Hayes Funeral Home in Guthrie, from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
