Fred Charles Aaron

August 8, 1945 ~ April 5, 2017

Fred Charles Aaron was born August 8, 1945 in Wichita, Kansas to Allen Arthur Aaron and Anna Elizabeth Hartle Aaron. His parents moved back to Oklahoma when he was 5 days old, after working on planes during World War II. Fred went to be with his Lord on April 5, 2017.

Fred's father was a superintendent of schools, so he attended schools in Buffalo, OK, Mangum, and graduated from Hominy. Fred graduated from Tonkawa Jr. College and Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a BA in Industrial Arts. He taught Industrial Arts for 30 years; 26 of those at Del City High School.

Fred served as president of the Oklahoma County Retired Educators. He was also a member of Del City Christian Church and served as an Elder and property chairman for many years. He belonged to ACT, OEA, NEA, OCREA, the Industrial Arts Assn., the Red Red Rose, and Kappa Kappa Iota. He coached soccer at Del City High and for the Youth Soccer League. During college he played trumpet in the SWOSU Band. He sang bass in high school quartets. He achieved the God & Country Award in Boy Scouts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Anna Aaron and his sister, Allene Lisle. He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Hall Aaron; his daughter, Michelle and husband Doug McAffrey; his son, Thomas Allen and wife Gina Aaron; grandchildren, Megan and Aaron McAffrey; and brother, Frank and wife Kathy Aaron, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, April 10, 2017 from 9am-8pm at Ford Funeral Service in Midwest City. Services will be held 11:00am Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Del City Christian Church.
