Glenda Long passed away at 10:45 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2016 at The Journey Home Hospice House in Bartlesville due to pancreatic cancer. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2016 at Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery with Reverend Lonnie Hoelscher officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.

Glenda Joyce Long was born August 27, 1950 in Bartlesville to Charles Ernest and Naomi Lee (Stover) Pope, the youngest child of eleven siblings. Glenda graduated nursing school in Bartlesville and had a long career with Jane Phillips Hospital and Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa as an EEG technician when she retired. After retirement, she worked for longtime friend, Dr. Sashi Husain of Tulsa on a part time basis. She was an avid knitter and enjoyed spending time with her friends and shopping. Of particular note, two friends; Barbara J. Brown and Mary Ann Knell were more like sisters to her than just friends sharing life's trials and happiness. She loved her friends and family and her many acts of kindness will be remembered by them.

Glenda is survived by six sisters: Lois Bradley of Bartlesville, Lorene Hindman of Pagosa Springs, CO, Opal and husband Bill Miller of Inola, Wanda Sue Hudson of Vera, Donna and husband Robert Mae of HI and June Sheren of Bells, TX. Two brothers: John A. Pope and Jerry W. Pope of Bartlesville, numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Leland Pope, sister, Joann Kahl and her son, Michael Long.
