William “Bill” Hutton, of Nowata, OK, died Thursday October 12, 2017 at his home. He was 88.

Bill was born November 9, 1928 to Melvin and Gladys (Barnhill) Hutton in Nowata. He served the United States Army in Germany and Japan. After coming home from the service, he went to work at Reda Pump in Bartlesville for almost 40 years. Throughout Bill’s life he raised cattle, and after retirement he devoted his time to his Black Angus cattle. For many that knew Bill, he wasn’t much of a people person. He was also preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves behind two daughters: Virginia Lea Morris and husband Mike of Caney, KS., Cathy Jo Ketcher and husband Sam of Ozark, MO. Three grandsons: Matthew David Morris, Andrew William Morris, and Daniel Austin Ketcher. Four great grandchildren: Avery Marie, Luke Michael, William Matthew and Peyton Jane. Four sisters: Barbara Jones, Charlotte Taylor, Mary Alyce Hagebusch and Judith Riley.

Family will receive friends from 5-6:00 PM Sunday, October 15, 2017, at the Stumpff Funeral Home in Nowata, OK. Family and friends may leave online condolences at www.stumpff.org.
