Lori Jean (Kiser) Acuff

Lori Jean Acuff passed away Thursday, October 25, 2012, at Jane Phillips Medical Center after a hard fought battle with cancer.

She was born November 1, 1977, in Nowata to Gary Lee and Linda Jean (Pierce) Kiser. She is a 1996 graduate of Nowata High School and continued her education in the LPN program at Tri-County Technology Center, in Bartlesville, and was currently employed as a recovery specialist at Enterprise Holding in Owasso. On June 10, 2011 she married Terry Acuff in Miami, Oklahoma. Lori was a very outgoing person that loved to line dance and spend time with her friends. She was a very loving mother and wife. She cherished the time she had with her husband and the birth of her baby boy was a high point in her life. She was so full of love and life that she made everyone around her feel special. Lori was an OSU fan and wasn't afraid to let friends that liked OU know about it. Her family and friends here will miss her but the angel is now in heaven with all her "bling on".

Lori is survived by her husband, Terry Acuff and son Hollis, of the home, her parents, Gary and Linda Kiser of Nowata; a brother, Dusty Kiser and his wife Heather, a very close friend to Lori, of Wann; aunts and uncles, Johnnie and Jennifer Pierce of Nowata, Mike and Connie Dye of Nowata, Beverly Kiser of Houston, Texas; two nieces, Cayman Kiser and Brylee Kiser; two nephews, Braden Kiser and Coyle Kiser; a grandmother, Bobbie Kiser of Nowata; a grandfather, John Pierce of Nowata; father and mother in law Terry and Nadine Acuff of Tahlequah, many other family as well as a host of friends.

Lori is preceded in death by a grandfather, Richard Kiser, and a grandmother, Virginia Pierce.

Funeral services for Lori are at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 29, 2012 at Hillside Christian Church with Pastor Wendell Abbott and Van Longbons officiating. Interment will follow at Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Benjamin Funeral Service. Online condolences may be left at Honoring Memories

Memorials in Lori's name may be gifted to the 1033 Wheelchair Van or the American Cancer Society. There is also an account in Lori's name at Arvest Bank that will be used to benefit Hollis.
